Kurt Vile kicked off his summer 2019 tour last night at the House of Blues in Cleveland, OH. The Philadelphia rocker played a 15 song set that included many of his biggest hits from across his career.
Vile opened the show with the first track of his 2018 album Bottle It In, “Loading Zones.” Next, he played “Jesus Fever” from 2011’s Smoking Ring For My Halo, and then another Bottle It In track, “Bassackwards.” Although he played the most from Bottle It In during last night’s set (5 of 15 songs), Vile drew from a number of projects in his lengthy discography over the course of the show.

During “Peeping Tomboy,” Vile, the former guitarist of the War On Drugs played an exciting solo. After a few more songs, Vile ended his set with “Wild Imagination.” He then came back onstage for a three song encore of “Mutinies,” “Pretty Pimpin,” and “Baby’s Arms.”
