Setlist Playlist: Panic! at the Disco's Pray For the Wicked Tour

Panic! at the Disco is on tour celebrating the release of their sixth studio album, Pray for the Wicked, that dropped back in June.

The tour began in Minneapolis back in July and is expected to wrap across the pond in Manchester in late March. Panic! will have played over 80 shows across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.

The band released the music video for one of Pray for the Wicked's singles, "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" in March and debuted new single, "(F**k A) Silver Lining," before announcing the tour with openers ARIZONA and Hayley Kiyoko.

They've been playing career-spanning cuts from all of their albums, notably Death of a Bachelor, Pray for the Wicked and Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!

Fans in attendance get to hear newer songs like Death of a Bachelor's "Hallelujah," "Victorious," "Don't Threaten Me With a Good Time," "Emperor's New Clothes" and "Golden Days," and Pray for the Wicked's "Say Amen (Saturday Night)," "High Hopes," "King of the Clouds" and "Dancing's Not a Crime" as well as some of their older works, like Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!'s "Miss Jackson," "Vegas Lights," "This is Gospel" and, of course, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out's anthemic "I Write Sins Not Tragedies."

Follow along on our playlist as we dissect some of the gems Panic! plays on this tour.

"Death of a Bachelor"

On the title track of 2016's album of the same name, a freshly married Brendon Urie unleashes his inner Sinatra. In an Instagram post announcing the album, he pays tribute to the late crooner:

Urie describes Death of a Bachelor as: "If Sinatra taught DJs to write rock n' roll." He's said the song is autobiographical, referring to his own marriage to Sarah Orzechowski.

"Miss Jackson"

This track from Panic!'s fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, is a nod to Janet Jackson's song, "Nasty."

"Are you nasty?," Urie asks his love interest in the chorus. The song follows a woman who manipulates men into falling in love with her before leaving them.

The song was originally based on a Fiona Apple song and called “Bad Apple," but because she didn’t grant them publishing rights, it had to be rewritten.

"The Ballad of Mona Lisa"

The opening track and lead single off of Vices & Virtues, "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" is a personal song Urie wrote inspired by events in his own life. "On the surface it can seem like just the story of drama between a guy and a girl," he explained.

"But it's really about what I've been going through, an inner-struggle within myself, and fighting the dualities of my personality -- the side that fucks everything up and destroys everything and the other side that tries to pick up the slack. It's all growing pains."

This song will have fans out of their seats with its hard-charging power pop chorus and Urie's catchy, "whoa, Mona Lisa."

"L.A. Devotee"

Moving from Nevada to California was a big step in Urie's life. This song, an ode to Los Angeles, was derived from the move and his newfound love for the city.

The music video (below) features "Stranger Things" actor Noah Schnapp. The song itself embodies the idea of the standard L.A. archetype: someone consumed in both materialism and the glitz and glam that comes with living in the city.

"This is Gospel"

This is my personal all-time favorite Panic! song (especially the stripped back piano version that I've linked below the official version).

Urie penned this deeply personal track for friend and fellow bandmate, Spencer Smith, whose battle with addiction and alcoholism ultimately led to his departure from the band.

"If you love me let me go," Urie wails in the chorus. In an interview with Billboard, he said:

"I was really on edge and anxious about where the future of the band was going, the future of our friendship in general. With him and his health I was really scared of what was going to happen. When I wrote that song I was mad—mad at myself and mad at him. Like, ‘Why can’t i do something to fix this? What is wrong with me? What’s wrong with you?'"

Smith officially left the band in 2015 to work on his drug-related issues, following a statement released on the band's website.
