Muse Live Debuts "We Are Fucking Fucked" In LA

Muse is currently on their Will of the People Tour in support of their album of the same name which was released on August 26. So far the shows have mostly been festival sets in Europe, along with two theater shows in England to kick the whole thing off.

On October 5, 2022 Muse played their first US date of the tour in Los Angeles. This was another theater show, packing fans into the Wiltern Theater for the evening. The intimate set featured the return of some tracks to US shows and even a track played live for the very first time.

Muse kicked off the set with the live debut of “We Are Fucking Fucked,” the final track from Will of the People. The band would play six songs from the album during the show, including this debut, not dominating the set but definitely centering the tour’s namesake album.

The setlist also brought back “Minimum” for the first time since 2002. The band also played a number of tracks for the first time in years in the US: “Assassin” since 2015, “Citizen Erased” since 2016, and “Space Dementia” since 2005.

Through the night the band also referenced several other acts through guitar riffs played as intros or outros. Muse made nods at AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot and even the great Jimi Hendrix during the show.

The current leg of the Will of the People Tour will continue the festival and intimate shows through the rest of 2022. The next leg will feature a full on North American tour in spring 2023 and you can grab tickets to shows starting this Friday, October 7.
