The Cure Kick Off Lost World Tour in Latvia

Multigenerational icons The Cure kicked off their Lost World Tour last night (October 6) at Riga Arena in Latvia. The band, who welcomed back guitarist Perry Bamonte, hit the stage at 9:15PM with the live debut of "Alone." Check out some fan footage of the 7+ minute piece:

In March of this year, frontman Robert Smith confirmed there were two new albums in the works, the first since 2008's 4:13 Dream, but no track list or release date has been revealed yet. The bulk of last night's two and a half hour show favored 1989's Disintegration (7 songs) and in terms of rarities, "Trust" was included in the set for the first time since 2016.

The goth rockers closed the main set with the live debut of "Endsong" another sprawling entity, clocking in at over 9 minutes long (at least in this live rendition). Take a look:

Two encores followed the main set, the second of which packed in The Cure's most culturally pervasive songs, "Friday I'm In Love" "Just Like Heaven" and "Boys Don't Cry." See the full setlist from opening night below:

The Cure's Lost World Tour resumes tomorrow night (October 8) in Helinski and runs up until a tour-closing triple header at London's Wembley Stadium. See a full list of dates and details on the band's official website.
